YMR Show and Cruise
Woodward Dream Cruise
Ferndale, MI August 21, 2004

In August 2004, the YMR gathered once again at the 10th annual Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan. This was not labeled as an official YMR event, but it quickly became much bigger than expected! With over 50 yellow Mustangs present this year, it was quite a show. As usual, members travelled thousands of miles to reach this northern destination and hang out with their yellow brethern.

Some of the special activities that we participated in, included an exclusive tour of Ford's Romeo Engine Plant, a car show at Ford World Headquarters, a special presentation by Ford Execs, Lots of Cruising down Woodward Ave, swarming the Mustang Alley car show in Ferndale, newspaper interviews, and lots more.

It was a jam-packed long weekend of fun that everyone is sure to remember. Some of the more memorable details that people found enjoyable included a pit-stop at a gas station with 20+ yellow Mustangs; blocking the Michigan U-turns so everyone could get through together; and parking in the grass outside the Romeo plant.

The Detroit Free Press newspaper also wrote a detailed one-and-a-half page feature about the YMR and it's participation in the Dream Cruise. You can click the below image to read the article that was written 8/19/04.

Thanks to Jay Hayden, Matt Holl, and Chuck Sherman, the preparation, planning, and marketing of this event went beautifully. Due to this show and the newspaper coverage, YMR gained 48 new members within 2 wks in Michigan alone!

Below you will find some random photos of the event. We hope that you join us next August for the 2005 Woodward Dream Cruise, as YMR is sure to be there once again. For more stories and photos from 2004, you can visit our special WDC Archive Forum.
