YMR Show and Cruise For our YMR gathering of the North, we decided to assemble at the annual Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan. Little did we know that the big Blackout of 2003 would occur while we were all there!! Despite the major power blackout that lasted for days, the 50+ yellow Mustang owners that showed up, still owned the town during this event. While everyone else was busy conserving gasoline, we were out patrolling Woodward Ave with out caravan of bright colored toys. Below you'll see photos from our host hotel where about 30 of us stayed. The parking lot was a show in itself. You'll also see a section of photos for our Ferndale Parade. This was the height of the blackout, and with gas stations being closed, and with some of us running on fumes, we cruised up and down Woodward with a police escort. Saturday was the big show at Mustang Alley, with the most participation of yellow. We were scheduled to have many more but some were not able to make it due to the electrical disaster. Our evening adventures usually involved reservations at a local restaurant including our wonderful dinner at Logan's Steakhouse. You'll see the photos of our crazy crew below. For 2004, many YMR members are planning on returning to the Woodward Dream Cruise together. |
