visitors (Charles Drake & John O'Polka) drove about the same amount of mileage themselves. In addition, there was Mike Caudle (TN), Steve Shrader (NC), Bob Price (OH), and many more. We deeply appreciate their extra efforts in making it to this show.
Much to our surprise, Mark Houlahan, Senior Tech Editor of 5.0 Magazine, brought the magazine project car (a yellow GT dubbed "3g GT") along for the event. Their Mustang was a highlight of the show for everyone as there was always someone peering under the hood or taking a photo of this beauty. There should be a small article in an upcoming issue of 5.0 about this event so watch for us in your next magazine. Also present at our show, Josh Bolger, editor of Mustangweekly.com, made a special trip out to the show with his 98 Chrome Yellow Cobra. Josh has written a feature article on his website with all the details of our YMR event. You can read all about it HERE! The majority of the yellow beasts that showed up were 99up cars, but there were several 94-98 models there, two 93 Limited Edition LX's, as well as some amazing classics. One such classic was Steve Ennis and his yellow 1968 Shelby GT500KR convertible. According to our research, this was one of only 3 yellow convertibles ever produced like it! We were happy to have all years and body styles there. After the show was nearing the end, many of us headed to Hooters just down the street in a long yellow convoy. By coincidence, there was a new yellow building built beside the Hooters and we all were attracted to it instantly. As you can see from the photos, we tried to park as many as possible around the building for some great shots. We hope you can make it out to our next exclusive yellow Mustang event! The shows get bigger and better every year with more participation. It's a great way to find folks who have some common ground and obviously share the same love for their cars as yourself. |
